The Koester House Museum holds a special place in the heart of Marysville, Kansas. Built in 1873 by Charles Koester, this home was envisioned as a sanctuary of love and happiness—a place to shape the lives and character of his family. Charles chronicled his devotion to the house in daily diary entries from 1876 until his passing in 1902. In one memorable entry from June 2, 1879, he wrote, "What is Paradise? This our Home!"

In 1972, the Koester grandchildren honored his legacy by gifting the home to the City of Marysville to be preserved as a museum. Today, the Koester House stands as a testament to the love, vision, and heritage of the Koester family.

We invite you to explore this slice of paradise, a treasure trove of history and charm, right here in Marysville, Kansas.
